The centre's architects

As winners of several architecture competitions, their works have received awards and been published on several occasions, and have formed part of both individual and collective exhibitions.

The centre's architects

Ramon Sanàbria and Lídia Planas are the architects of the Centre Cultural Caixa Penedès Espai Subirachs.

Ramon Sanàbria (Lleida - 1950)

In 1973 he received an architecture degree from the Escuela de Arquitectura de Barcelona (Barcelona College of Architecture), where he later became Professor of Projects in 1974. Lecturer and visiting lecturer at several national and foreign universities, he has been a member of the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Catalunya (Official Architects' Association of Catalonia) since 2006. He has served on the panel of judges in several architecture competitions.

Lídia Planas (La Ràpita - 1972)

She received an architecture degree from the Escuela de Arquitectura de Barcelona (Barcelona College of Architecture) in 2000 and, from 2001 to 2005, she was Professor of Projects at the College of Architecture of the Universidad Internacional de Catalunya (International University of Catalonia) in Barcelona.

In 1997, she began working at the offices of Artigues & Sanàbria and later at Ramon Sanàbria i arquitectes associats and at Ramon Sanàbria i Lídia Planas, arquitectes.

As winners of several architecture competitions, their works have earned awards, been published on several occassions, and been part of both individual and group exhibitions. The most noteworthy have included the Huesca Provincial Council, the Enric Granados Auditorium in Lleida, the Centro Cultural de Sant Cugat (Barcelona), the Main Library of the Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (Barcelona), the Instituto de Teatro de Barcelona, the new Instituto Universitario Dexeus (Barcelona), the Parliament of Andorra, the Barcelona Airport Intermodal Building, the Cultural Events and Conventions Complex in Sabadell (Barcelona), the ESADE Campus in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), the Teatro Auditorio in Cambrils (Tarragona), several faculties of the Universidad Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona), the Garrotxa General Hospital in Olot (Girona) and the new headquarters of the Centre Cultural Caixa Penedès-Espai Subirachs in Barcelona.
