The museum is exhibiting Gluts, the last series of sculptures by Robert Rauschenberg (Texas, 1925 - Florida, 2008).
Rauschenberg, a highly original artist, created the assemblies of the Gluts series (1986-1995) as a reaction to the economic decadence of Texas brought about by oil gluts.
The visitor will find works created from traffic signs, exhaust pipes and blinds. These pieces transport the technique of collage to three dimensions.
The Robert Rauschenberg: Gluts exhibition can be visited at the Guggenheim in Bilbao from 13 February to 12 September.
